The routine does not start at the gym, it starts in the mind
The sun is not up yet, but the day has already begun. While most people sleep, elite athletes are already preparing body and mind to push past a new limit. There is no glamour in the first minutes of the day. Just silence, controlled breathing and routine. Every gesture matters: the clothes, the shoes, the water, the gym towel. Yes, even that. Because when you train at the highest level, there is no minor detail.
The invisible tool every athlete values
Anyone who has spent hours in the gym knows that comfort and hygiene are not a luxury: they are part of performance. For athletes like Marcos Vidal, a professional triathlete, a towel is not just a piece of fabric.
"When I train two or three times a day, I need everything to work. My towel has to dry fast, stay clean and not move off the bench. It sounds trivial, but when you do it every day, you notice."
His constant companion: a 365 PROJECT towel with an adaptable hood and zip pocket, designed not to slip during training and to keep the essentials within reach: earbuds, keys, phone.
"Everything has its place, and that gives me calm. I use it to cover benches, to dry off between sets, even as support when stretching. It weighs nothing and it is always useful."
A quiet ally among machines and breathing
In every gym, there is a constant sound: weights dropping, bars clanking, the heavy air of effort. Amid that noise, the athlete looks for order.
Laura Núñez, CrossFit specialist and national champion, puts it like this:
"In the middle of the chaos of training, having an orderly routine changes everything. My towel with its adaptable hood does not fall off the bench or bunch up. I know I can leave my things in the zip pocket and focus only on performing."
It is not just about looks, but about function. Technical microfibre dries almost instantly between rounds and stays fresh even through double sessions.
"I have tried a lot of towels, but none as practical. It reminds me that the small details are the ones that matter most, and that discipline lives in those things too."
The weight of small habits
Behind every athlete we admire are countless reps, invisible routines and tiny decisions that, added together, create greatness.
Using a functional sports towel may seem insignificant, but it is exactly the kind of tool that builds order within chaos. It prevents distractions, keeps your surroundings clean and, above all, stands for respect for the process.
365 PROJECT does not just sell a towel. It sells that mindset: of the person who trains even when there is no motivation, who wipes off the sweat and carries on, who literally never throws in the towel.
Great athletes know that success is not built on what is visible, but on small gestures repeated day after day. Looking after your surroundings, your mind and your tools is part of that mindset.
365 PROJECT gym towels are made for people who live by that philosophy: train with purpose, stay consistent and never throw in the towel.

Everyday training, in numbers
Two references put numbers on what is described here as routine. The first is the World Health Organization, which sets the minimum for adults at 150 minutes of moderate activity a week, or 75 minutes of vigorous activity, plus muscle-strengthening work on at least two days a week. It is not a high figure: it is the floor everything else is built on.
The second is a systematic review published in Healthcare in 2024 that brought together 20 studies on health habit formation. Median times until the behaviour became automatic ranged from 59 to 66 days, with some cases reaching 335. Give a routine two months before judging whether it has taken hold, and leave plenty of margin so you do not quit after the third bad day.
What happens in between can be prepared too: what to bring is in what to pack in your gym bag, and how to keep your towel clean and free of smells is in why does my gym towel smell.
